Today, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung led Vietnamese delegation to take part in the 7th Summit of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Viet Nam and the 6th Summit of Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya- Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) at the invitation of Myanmar’s President Thein Sein.
Attending in the seventh Summit of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Viet Nam, the Vietnamese Prime Minister and leaders of Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar will review 10 years of ACMESC cooperation mechanisms relating to bilateral cooperation between regional countries and promoting sustainable development for Mekong sub-region.
The leaders will evaluate and study better cooperation mechanisms with partners such the United States, Japan, South Korea and Asian Development Bank.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will also participate in the sixth Summit of Ayeyawady, Chao Phraya and Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy within the framework of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam economic cooperation, aiming to strengthen further multilateral economic cooperation.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and leaders of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand evaluated ACMECS action program for the 2013-2015 period in fields of industry, energy, transport, agriculture, tourist, trade and investment, humanity source development, healthcare, social welfare and environment.
