Police in Nghe An Province on Tuesday took into custody Trinh Thanh Long, deputy director of Pu Huong Natural Reserve and head of the Forest Management Division for questioning in the truck accident case.

A day earlier, Dao Cong Thang, head of the Quy Hop District Forest Management Station was held, who reported that Long had instructed him to escort the truck carrying wood logs, which accusation Long denied vehemently.

According to Long, at noon on December 7 he was informed about the case, soon after returning from a school in Vinh City. He then asked his junior officers to report to him about the case including from where the wood had been brought.

So far, four forest management officials have been arrested in the truck accident case which killed ten people in Nghe An Province, namely Trinh Thanh Long, Dao Cong Thang, Nguyen Kim Hung and Phan Sy Tuan, all of who are employed at the Pu Huong Natural Reserve.
