All 28 passengers travelling on a luxury coach escaped unhurt when it suddenly caught fire in Thuan An Commune of Dak Min District in the central highland province of Dak Nong on Friday night.
About 1 am, the rear end of the luxury coach travelling on the Saigon-Gia Lai route on highway 14 suddenly erupted into flames as it neared Thuan An Commune.
Driver Le Minh Nhat and his assistants used a fire extinguisher and bottled mineral water to stamp out the fire. However, strong winds worsened the situation and in a short time the coach was completely charred along with the passengers’ belongings and luggage.
