The new school year 2011-2012 kicked off with opening ceremonies being held in 311 schools of the central province of Khanh Hoa as well as the school on Truong Sa (Spartly) Islands, a district of the province, on September 5.
Truong Sa has 36 students this year of school going age, most of who are from Sinh Ton, Song Tu Tay Communes and Truong Sa town.
All those students who have reached the nursery and primary school level will continue to study on the Islands and move to the mainland later for higher grade levels.
