NA Standing Committee opens its 36th session

The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee opened its 36th session in Hanoi today to review the results of the eighth session and prepare for the next session of the 12th NA.

During the three-day session, the committee will hear a draft report on the performance of the NA’s 2007-2011 tenure.

The session will also hear a report on preparations for the 65th anniversary of Vietnam’s NA, and approve NA agencies’ foreign affairs activities and the committee’s plans for 2011.

They will discuss some major issues and give their opinions on a number of bills, including the Law on Human Trafficking Prevention, the Law on Amendments and Supplements to some Articles of the Civil Procedure Code.
