This is a part of the project on relocating and rescuing turtles of Con Dao National Park to avoid the impacts of climate change causing temperature and sea level rises since 2017.
Since the implementation, the project has recorded around 257 turtles laying their eggs in sand beaches with 1,174 turtle nests and total of 10,102 eggs.
The park has collected and transferred all eggs to turtle hatcheries before release.
Con Dao National Park has organized a trip for tourists to see turtles laying eggs with a maximum number of 87 visitors per day under the guidance of foresters.
