More teaching programs in higher education institutions meet ASEAN standards

The Vietnam National University HCMC (VNU-HCMC) and the Industrial University of HCMC (IUH) have just announced that their teaching programs satisfied ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) standards.
Quality assurance is mandatory for every institution. The AUN-QA strives to enhance global recognition for higher education in ASEAN member countries.
Specifically, VNU-HCMC said that its four recognized programs, namely Bachelor of Biotechnology of the University of Science, Master of Electronics and Communication of the University of Technology, Master of English Teaching Methodology of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Master of Business Administration of the International University have been assessed by the AUN-QA and satisfied the standards.
Up to now, VNU-HCMC has had 66 internationally and regionally recognized teaching programs, including four programs in Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), 53 programs in AUN-QA and 9 programs in other international standards.
IUH’s four teaching programs recognized by the AUN-QA include Automotive Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, and English Language. The university intends to reach the number of 6 in ABET and to apply for University-level recognition in AUN-QA.
