Ministry of Industry and Trade has laid strict guidelines for petrol wholesale dealers to monitor their distribution network from point of purchase to point of sale, allowing only for standard quality petrol to reach the consumer.

Accordingly, petrol dealers will only be allowed to distribute petroleum products that meet with required national quality standards.
Petrol dealers must also implement current regulations on quality management of petrol, oil, gasoline imports, gasoline production, gasoline transportation and sale of all their products to consumers.
The ministry has asked petrol dealers to be accountable for the quality of all the products distributed by them and pay more attention to petrol imports, the blending process, storage, transportation and retail sales.
This move by the ministry is aimed to ensure that all petroleum products meet quality standards, to ensure consumer safety.
