On March 19, thousands of monks and relatives of martyrs participated in a requiem celebration in Phong Dien district cemetery in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.
The prayers for the martyrs’ souls marks the 35th anniversary of liberation of Thua Thien-Hue. More requiems will be held in Hue City and Phu Vang district cemeteries on March 22.
The central province of Quang Ngai’s Army Headquarter said three organizations and five persons have just been awarded the title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces for their contribution to the national resistance war. They include Hong Gam Women Company, the Commando Company 120 and Company 129 of Duc Pho Armed Service.
