The Tam Sinh Nghia Development Company inaugurated its eighth and largest waste treatment plant in district Hon Dat of Kien Giang province in the Mekong Delta on September 16.
The VND300 billion plant has capacity to decompose 200 tons of waste per day.
Made by Vietnamese engineers, it can sort out as well as recycle waste into products such as organic fertilizers, plastic tubes and oil for use in industries.
The plant will use the latest and advanced technology in treating waste.
Only 5 percent of the treated waste will be buried in a safe dump. Most of the gas produced during recycling procedures will be contained, purified and carefully released into the atmosphere.
