Nguyen Tien Tung, deputy inspector of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs yesterday said that this year the ministry will pay a full inspection of construction sites and labor accidents.

The ministry decided to monitor construction because 30.4 percent of total labor accidents ( some districts having up to 60 percent) and 37.8 percent of deaths are reported in the construction field.

The inspection campaign will be conducted in all 63 cities and  provinces across the country. The ministry will hold a meeting to open the campaign in the northern province of Hung Yen on March 21 and later in the northern province of Yen Bai, the central city of Da Nang and the Mekong delta city of Can Tho.

The ministry  conducted a general inspection to textile and garment sector in 2015,  yet the result is not satisfactory as there was a failed cooperation between agencies and information exchange was not good.
