Kilometer Zero in Ho Chi Minh Trail open to tourists

The People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued Decision No. 1489/ QD-UBND to recognize the Special National Historical Relics Kilometer Zero in Ho Chi Minh Trail in Tan Ky district as a tourist destination.

Pursuant to the decision, the People's Committee of Tan Ky district is responsible for coordinating with relevant agencies, organizations and individuals to protect, preserve and develop the tourism resources of the historical relics; creates favorable condition and ensure social security and safety for visitors; builds narration contents and publications to promote the value of the special tourist destination. 

The recognition will create a highlight at the locality via returning to traditional moral values trips of Nghe An province, aiming to connect President Ho Chi Minh’s homeland with Phan Boi Chau Memorial House, relics of King Mai Thuc Loan, Truong Bon historical relic area and the Special National Site Kilometer Zero- Ho Chi Minh Trail.

Accordingly, Kilometer Zero was added to the list of national historical relics on April 27,1990.
