Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong had a meeting with Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) Motoo Hayashi on March 20, on the occasion of his work and visit to Vietnam.
At the meeting, the chairman affirmed: “The strategic relationship between Vietnam and Japan is put in broader context, and will continue to get new result and achievements, specially concerning to the Trans-Pacific Partnership as Vietnam and japan are among the 12 involved countries. Japan is considered as one of key trade partners of HCMC in various fields”.
The city’s authority has created preferential conditions and actively supported Japanese investors in the previous time, said Mr. Motoo Hayashi.
The visit aims to strengthen further economic cooperation between two countries; and open new trade cooperative opportunities for two sides in all fields.
