During the visit, the officers and sailors plan to pay a courtesy visit to the People’s Committee of Da Nang city and High Command of the Naval Region 3.
They will also visit Da Nang’s tourist attractions; and take part in a friendly match in volleyball with officers and soldiers of the Naval Region 3, an exchange with students of Da Nang University, and a concert with the participation of the Indian Navy band.
In the last day on May 25, the Vietnamese and Indian navies will hold a joint maritime exercise.
Rear Admiral Dinesh Tripathi, Commander of the Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet stressed that the visit will contribute in the cooperative relation between Vietnam and India.
Defense Cooperation is one of the important parts of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two nations, making contribution to peace and security in the region and the world.
As planned, Defense Minister of India will pay a visit to Vietnam in June. Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Commander of the Vietnam People's Navy will visit India in yearend.
