The first ‘International Mathematics Conference’ will be held in the ancient capital of Hue in Thua Thien-Hue Province from August 20-24.
The event will be attended by Vietnamese Fields Medalist professor Ngo Bao Chau, and professors from French and Vietnamese universities.
Vice Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan had a working session with the Advanced Mathematics Research Institute on August 9. He highly appreciated the institute’s achievements and hoped that the country will have the best mathematical teaching staff in universities nationwide in 10 years time.
The event was organized by the Vietnam Mathematics Association, French Mathematical Society, Hue University and Advanced Mathematics Research Institute.
