At 4am July 19 tropical low-pressure centered at 19.0 degree north latitude, 105.2 degrees east longitude on the coastal provinces of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa.
The strongest wind speed was from 40 to 60 km per hour.
The center issued that in the next 12 hours, tropical low-pressure will move toward west with 20 to 25km per hour and then it will weaken into low depression.
Last night, storm Son Tinh swept cross the central province of Nghe An but did not cause damage of houses and vessels, the property of local people.
However, heavy rains flooded over 10,584 hectares of rice; 3,712 hectares of corns and fruits, vegetables.
Besides, many traffic routes in Nghe An were inundated by flooding. This morning, the areas in Vinh City of Nghe An province and mountainous areas of Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Que Phong, Tan Ky, Anh Son, Con Cuong experienced heavy rains.
Local authorities warned flash floods, landslides can occur during the day therefore local people have to deal with them to avoid losses.
