One person has died and another is reported missing in Na Xay Commune of Tuan Giao District in the northern mountainous province of Dien Bien, from flooding caused by the low pressure system in the East Sea.
According to the National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center, due to the low pressure system, both North and Central Vietnam are seeing heavy rains.

In the northern province of Thai Nguyen, heavy rains have caused immense damage in Dai Tu, Dinh Hoa and Pho Yen Districts. Two-year-old Nong Thi Thu was injured when a wooden wall fell on her. In addition, 92 hectares of paddy fields have been flooded and many roads are still reported to be blocked after landslides.
