Ho Chi Minh City is planning two spectacular firework displays to light up the city's night sky on New Year’s Eve.
A high-range firework display will be set off from Thu Thiem tunnel in District 2. A low-range fireworks display will take place at the Dan Sen Park in District 11. Local residents and visitors can watch the display from inside the park.
According to the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the lunar New Year fireworks show for 2017 will be held at 7 locations around the city.
A high-range firework display will take place from Thu Thiem tunnel in District 2. Six low-range firework displays will be organized in Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11, Ben Duoc Memorial Temple in Cu Chi District, Lang Le-Bau Co historical site in Binh Chanh District, Sac Forest in Can Gio District, Nga Ba Giong War Martyr Monuments in Hoc Mon District and HCMC Historical and Cultural Park in District 9.
The 15-minute firework displays will begin at midnight on New Year’s Eve.
