Hackers on December 6 continued to attack the popular newswire VietnamNet and posted several articles to leak sensitive information about the newspaper.

The articles appeared on Vietnam Net’s homepage at 8am, revealing its source code and information about the newspaper’s internal conflicts involving certain contracts.

Hackers were also able to access the newspaper’s internal email system and take passwords from the users. They stole the newspaper’s private internal information and posted it on the website.  During last month, the online newspaper has been hacked three times.

On Nov 22, the paper was severely disrupted and it took many hours until technicians could retrieve the website from the hackers. The hackers penetrated the security by stolen data.
