Retail gas price increased VND17,000 a 12 kilogram cylinder to VND290,000-300,000 from 7:30 a.m. on November 2.
In an announcement yesterday afternoon, gas businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and other southern provinces said that the world’s gas price averaged US$415 a ton in November, up US$52.5 a ton over the previous month.
That caused domestic price increase, they said.
The price will continue rising in the upcoming months because of high consumption demand around the world in the winter.
