France ready to boost ties with HCMC

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan received new French Consul General Vincent Floreani and new Director of French Development Agency (AFD) Fabrice Richy yesterday.

At the meeting, both sides expressed their pleasure on the multifaceted cooperation relationship between Vietnam and France. 
French Development Agency contributed its investment projects in Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
The French Consul General appreciated the city’s achievements, and desired to learn about the city’s development plans in the upcoming time. 
City's Party Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan said that infrastructure is one of key features of the city's development in the next time.

In addition, traffic, anti- flooding, anti- climate change and water resource management are necessary problems which the city needed to solve.
Ho Chi Minh City called on AFD and the French enterprises to cooperate with three start-up centers of the city in the fields of human resource training.
