The entire route of Hanoi-Hai Phong Highway will open to traffic on December 5, announced Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Finance Investment Joint Stock Company.

So far, 75 out of 105.5 kilometers of the highway have opened for service. The remaining 30 kilometers have basically been built.
Hanoi-Hai Phong Highway starts at the ring road no.3 in Hanoi, runs through Hung Yen, Hai Duong provinces and ends in Hai Phong city.
The highway has six intersections connecting with nearby highways, six large and 21 medium bridges, 22 flyovers over a total length of 11 kilometers.
The 33m wide road comprises six lanes and two emergency parking strips and permits vehicles to travel up to 120 kilometers an hour.
