Previously 26 years old Tran Tuan Anh from Tien Giang province and 29 years old Nguyen Vu Hoang Nam from Nam Dinh province were arrested for the armed robbery at the toll station where they worked.
So far, the police force has taken back over VND2.1 billion. Of these, a person from Long Dien district in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province handed over VND500 million and another from Thu Duc district, HCMC gave over VND700 million.

Aside from the arrest and prosecution, the police force has fortified documents to handle the two men for illegally using military weapons.

In addition, the two robbers declared some places were the robbed money was hidden and the police force has reclaimed the amount. Police officers also seized VND100 million and ten SJC gold taels when arresting the two men at Saigon Railway station when they were on the way to escape.
According to investigation, Nam and Tuan Anh worked as guards at Vietnam Expressway Services Engineering Joint Stock Company in 2015-2019 and fired for concerning gambling and not paying attention to work.
Afterwards they discussed together and bought a gun online at the price of VND6 milion, equipped gloves, hooded fabric caps, a bottle of gasoline and pepper spray to enter the station, constrain three staff comprising two female and one male in the accounting division and conduct the robbery.
On the way to escape on a motorbike, Tuan Anh fell down and got a leg injure. Nam took him to the general hospital in Long Khanh for treatment, sent VND500 million to a friend in Long Dien district and had the friend send the amount to Nam Dinh province.
Nam also had another friend in Thu Duc district keep over VND700 million and planned to take the money when needing. The man then moved to HCMC to buy ten SJC gold taels, packed up some belongings and moved to a rental room in District 3 on February 7. On the same day, he called Tuan Anh asking him to catch a taxi cab to HCMC to discuss escape plan.
At 11p.m. on the same day, they met at Saigon Railway Station and arrested.
