Dialogue brings together young Australian, Vietnamese leaders

Twenty young leaders representing Australia and Vietnam have participated in the Australia-Vietnam Young Leadership Dialogue (AVYLD) 2019 that is organized for the first time in Hanoi and HCMC from May 26-30.

Selected delegates from various industries, such as arts, agriculture, technology, sports, business, education, and environment are expected to contribute to the building of bilateral relations.
The five-day dialogue which was scheduled to take place in Hanoi and HCMC aims to facilitate deeper cross-cultural understanding and collaboration through discussions and workshops with distinguished speakers and peers from Vietnam and Australia.
This year’s event around the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals under the overarching theme Beyond 2019: Creating Our Sustainable Future Together will focus on five main goals, including gender equality, inequality reduction, high-quality education, climate action and sustainable cities and communities.
Delegates will have the opportunity to be provided with new perspectives that can shift mindsets and drive action towards achieving a brighter future for the countries and the world, with clear momentum.
The Australia Vietnam Young Leadership Dialogue (AVYLD) is an independent non-profit initiative that was established to nurture relationships, promote engagement and incubate collaboration between Australian and Vietnamese young leaders from a broad spectrum of society. Through people to people links, it is believed the bilateral relationship between Australia and Vietnam can be strengthened to contribute to the development of each respective nation.
