Detoxification Center for Agent Orange Victims to open in Da Nang

The Da Nang Association of Agent Orange Victims on August 9 broke ground for a Detoxification Center in Da Nang City in central Vietnam.

The Da Nang Association of Agent Orange Victims on August 9 broke ground for a Detoxification Center in Da Nang City in central Vietnam.

The center will have two floors and will cover an area of 200 square meters. It is scheduled to complete in four months at a cost of VND2 billion (US$ 94,753) and serve around 100 Agent Orange victims in a year.

People who were exposed to Agent Orange in the  war will undergo a thorough detoxification treatment at the center. The detoxification program will include large intake of multi-vitamins, a minimum of 30 minute exercise to sweat out as much as possible, and steam and sauna sessions to release toxics from the body. 

Three generations of Agent Orange victims will be treated along with many normal people who have also asked for detoxification of toxics from their bodies.

At present, Da Nang has more than 5,000 Agent Orange victims that include around 1,600 children.
