City gives Tet gifts to flood hit victims in Nghia Hanh District

A delegation from Ho Chi Minh City led by Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee, on December 8 visited and gave Tet gifts to 300 needy residents of Hanh Minh Commune in Nghia Hanh District of Quang Ngai Province, who were badly affected by the recent floods.

Each gift package was worth VND800,000, which included VND400,000 in cash and some essential items such as instant noodles, blankets, mosquito nets, sugar, cooking oil and notebooks.

During the severe flooding in November this year, 97 percent of households in Hanh Minh Commune were badly affected, with one person reported dead, three injured, and 15 houses destroyed.
