Books of mobile libraries brought to serve students, residents in distant areas

Nearly 140,000 books and computer sets, projector screens were brought to serve students and residents in disadvantaged districts and areas where most ethnic minority people live.

The Department of Library under the Ministry of Culture- Sport- Tourism and Thien Tam Fund of Vingroup Joint Stock Company have just granted 31 mobile libraries to schools, associations of blind people, border guard stations and prisons in distant cities and provinces.
Each lorry contains 4,500 paper books, computer sets, TV, speaker, projector and projector screen, 100 stools and large umbrellas.
Additionally, the Department of Library has also fundraised for library management software, e-books, audio books and documentaries for people with visual impairments.
Bookmobile aims to promote reading culture in faraway districts and areas where most ethnic minority people live countrywide.
