Specifically, water with a salinity of approximaly 4 percent flowed deeply about 44 km from the mouth of Co Chien river in Mo Cay Nam District whereas saltwater of 1 percent salinity entered near Cho Lach Market meanwhile 1 percent saltwater has intruded as far as 58 kilometer into commune An Hiep in Chau Thanh District and Thanh Tan in Mo Cay Bac District.
According to weather forecasters in Ben Tre, the salinity was predicted to increase on January 27 and 28 and stable later. The risk level is first stage.
