Speaking at the event, Senior Lieutenant, Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quy Vuong stressed that Vietnam has made more efforts to fight against drug matters as well as related crimes via propaganda and education on drug prevention, diversity and socialization for detoxification.
The Southeast Asian country believed that the conference would contribute to affirm determination on drug prevention for the period of 2016- 2020 as well as towards the 2018 ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Drugs in Vietnam, added the senior lieutenant.
The ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Drug Matters runs till July 27.
