The Government Inspectorate and the World Bank will organize the Vietnam Anti-Corruption Initiative Program 2013 (VACI 2013) under the theme ‘Strengthen Transparency, Public Integrity, Accountability to minimize Corruption’ on November 29, 2012.

After carefully considering 103 eligible projects received until now, the board selected 40 of the most suitable projects for the final round.

Among these 40 projects, some are notable, such as ‘Patients Transparency and Fairness in Hospitals through automatic booking systems and automatic surveys’ by Hung Gia Service, Trading and Investment Company;  the project ‘Information Transparency in Selection of School Principals’ by the Department of Education and Training in the Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long;  the project ‘Increasing Awareness of Doctor’s responsibilities and Medical Ethics among Health Officials’ in the National Hospital of Endocrinology;  and the project ‘Transparency in Compensation of Land’ by the Inspectorate of Binh Chanh District in Ho Chi Minh City.

The VACI 2013 consists of two major components--an Innovative Competition and Knowledge Exchange Activities; the first of which is the focus of the program so as to find and support feasible and creative ideas to fight corruption.
