Winners of the annual Vietnam Books Awards were announced at a ceremony in Hanoi on December 28 by the Vietnam Publishers' Association.
The good book awards were presented to 90 books in recognition of their outstanding content and design.
The gold prizes went to ‘Duoc Thu Quoc Gia Viet Nam’ (Vietnamese National Drug Formulary), ‘Vu Hanh tuyen tap’ (Vu Hanh Collection), ‘Performing rituals – Cultural heritage of Muong ethnic’, and Vu Hung’s book for children.
The “Book cover design award” belonged to painters, Van Sang for the book Ngoi den (The temple”, Pham Tuan for the book “Trong Dong Vietnam-Gia tri lich su va nghe thuat ” (Vietnamese bronze drum- historical and cultural value), and Hoang Minh Duc for the book “Trien lam my thuat Vietnam “ (Vietnamese fine arts exhibition).
This year’s award attracted 40 publishing houses and 486 books. The awards were divided into categories, including research, education, economics, management, literature, children's books and new discoveries.
