The first competition of the fourth round was between Hancofood Can Tho (HCT) and Dong Thap Cement (DTC).

Although both HCT and DTC each only gained one point from the drawn result of the match, HCT was still secure in top position of the ranking rally while DTC slipped backwards to third position.

The replacement at second position was the Vinakansai Ninh Binh (VNB) after it gained three points from a landslide 2-0 victory over Military Zone 5 (MZ5).

VNB’s foreign player, John Baptiste, was the scorer of these two goals; the first one made at the 61st minute and the second at the 82nd minute. After this result MZ5 slid down three notches to ranking #6.

The T&T Ha Noi (THN) gained one notch on the ranking table as they triumphed over their opponent, Thanh Nghia Thach Binh (TN.TB) Quang Ngai (TQN) to receive a 2-1 victory.

While TQN made the first score at the 59th minute, THN soon took back the leadership in the match with two scores by Sy Manh in the 72nd minute and Huy Hoang in the 83rd minute.

Military Zone 7 (MZ7) jumped to fifth position, up 4 ranks with their defeat of Quang Ninh Coal (QNC) in the fourth round with a 2-1 result.

MZ7 made the opening score at the 6th minute thanks to Dinh Phuong, however QNC promptly evened the score at the 23rd minute thanks to Kayole.

MZ7’s Phuong again helped his team to take lead with the second score in early second half. The rest of the match saw no scores being made.

Shoes Securities (SHS) Tien Giang (STG) slid slightly to seventh position after their draw in the fourth round whereas their opponent, Giay Thanh Cong (GTC) Tay Ninh jumped up one place to thirteenth.

The ninth position saw a replacement, Dong Nai Berjaya (DNB) who was up four ranks after the previous round and the match between DNB and An Do An Giang (ADAG) on the Dong Nai field.

DNB made two consecutive scores at the 9th minute and at the 19th minute thanks to player Xuan Thanh. ADAG only gained one score at the 56th minute to shorten their loosing streak to 1-2. No more scores were recorded in the game and it ended in favor of DNB.

The last match in the fourth round was between Huda Hue (HH) and Military Zone 4 (MZ4). Both teams gained two scores each and thus, the match finally ended with a drawn result. HH remained its position at the ranking #11 while MZ4 was down to the eighth position.
