V-League Round 4: Khanh Hoa takes lead

The V-League finished Round 4 March 8 with the new leaders Khanh Hoa and T&T Ha Noi on eight points, followed by Binh Duong, Hai Phong Cement and Ho Chi Minh City, all with three points each.

The first match kicked off at the Pleiku ground between Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) and Hai Phong Cement (HPC).

Leandro for HPC opened the scoring in the 15th minute but HAGL quickly recovered to equal the score in the 33rd minute thanks to Thonglao.

Lee Nguyen, a newcomer to the club, doubled the score for HAGL in the 60th minute but Minh Duc of HPC equalized in the 72nd minute.

The striker, Evaldo for HAGL, brought the game to a close, scoring in injury time to help HAGL win the match 3-2.

At Thien Truong ground in the Red River Delta's province of Nam Dinh, Dong Tam Long An (DTLA) managed only a 1-1 draw against the home team, Nam Dinh.

It took 87 minutes before Van Kahi broke the deadlock for DTLA but two minutes later Amaobi quickly recovered some pride for Nam Dinh.   

In Ha Noi, the home team T&T Ha Noi scored the only game of the match against Thanh Hoa, thanks to striker Junio in the 87th minute. This score helped Ha Noi knock out Thanh Hoa.

The SHB Da Nang team also had a late score with Hong Quang helping them in the 86th minute to defeat the Ho Chi Minh City team on their home ground, Chi Lang.

The visitors Dong Thap found a victory against the home team, Khanh Hoa.

Khanh Hoa were driven to victory with a 47th minute goal by Quang Hai and 61st minute goal by Jonathan.

The last match of the round took place in Vinh ground of the north central coastal province of Nghe An between Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) and The Cong (TC).

Ngoc Anh of SLNA drew first blood in the 66th minute but TC returned to even the score with a goal from Nyom in the 75th minute. The match ended at 1-1.
