Organizers of the ‘International Festival of Natural Products and Nutritional Supplements’ have just announced that the festival, the first of its kind, will be held from September 27-29 at Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Center in Hanoi.
The organizers, Vietnam Functional Food Association (VAFF), the ASEAN Alliance of Health Supplement Associations (AAHSA), and the Asia Trade Fair and Business Promotion Joint Stock Company, said the festival will have 300 booths of more than 100 manufacturers, traders, and distributors of nutritional supplements in the country.
World leading brand names will be on the shelves at the festival. Various products from nutritional supplements and functional foods to improve general health and immune system and medicines for the elderly, children, and pregnant women will be seen.
VAFF President Tran Dang said that the festival is the biggest ever in the country. It will exhibit natural products and will help businesses introduce their best-sellers and meet directly with consumers.
Moreover, in the framework of the festival, seminars will be held under the themes ‘Orientation in use of Nutritional Supplements’ and ‘Orientation for the Sector with Vision till 2020’.
At present, the market for nutritional supplements has seen strong growth and stability. It is estimated that around six percent of the population takes nutritional supplements and urbanites alone account for 43 percent.
The country has around 2,000 manufacturers, traders, and distributors of nutritional supplements with more than 5,500 products.
With most ingredients being natural herbs, nutritional supplements are favored by people for better health and strengthening of the immune system.
