Vietnam Internet Association launched

The Vietnam Internet Association was officially launched on October 9 in Hanoi aiming to  assemble and unite internet service providers ad developers for cooperation, support and protection of members’ rights and interests.

The Vietnam Internet Association was officially launched on October 9 in Hanoi aiming to  assemble and unite internet service providers ad developers for cooperation, support and protection of members’ rights and interests.

The association establishment also focuses on improving technologies and quality and contributing to the application and development of internet services in Vietnam in the process of international economic integration. This will also be a meeting place of internet service suppliers and developers in Vietnam.

The first congress of the association opened on the same day.

Currently, the association has more than 60 members including VNPT, Viettel, FPT, SPT, EVN Telecom.

Vu Hoang Lien, Director of Vietnam Data Communications (VDC) was elected the association’s chairman for the 2010-2015 term.
