Vietnam & Greece boost cooperative relations

Communist Party of Greece affirmed it will advocate standpoint of Vietnam on East Sea issue, said General Secretary of Greek Communist Party Mr. Dimitris Koutsoumpas at a meeting with Deputy Standing Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang on July 13.

Communist Party of Greece affirmed it will advocate standpoint of Vietnam on East Sea issue, said General Secretary of Greek Communist Party Mr. Dimitris Koutsoumpas at a meeting with Deputy Standing Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang on July 13.

Accordingly, Mr. Dimitris Koutsoumpas stressed: “Conflict problems on East Sea must be solved via peaceful methods and international laws, especially the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) in 1982".

At the meeting, both sides also exchanged views on two countries’ political, economic and social issues. Under the cooperation relations between Vietnamese and Greek Communist Parties, the two leaders considered this visit of Greek Communist Party would contribute boosting friendship relation between the two parties as well as the two states; and believed the two sides would continue to strengthen further the cooperative relations in the fields of economy, trade and tourist.
