Vietnam congratulates Ban Ki-moon on his re-election

Vietnam congratulates Ban Ki-moon on his re-appointment as Secretary General of the United Nations for another term, Ms Nguyen Phuong Nga, VN Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.

“This shows the confidence of the international community in his contribution,” Nguyen Phuong Nga said in response to reporters’ queries about Vietnam ’s stance on Ban’s re-election.

Vietnam believes that with the co-operation of member nations, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will make more contributions to UN work and the peace and development of all nations, she said.

Vietnam always attaches importance to multifaceted co-operation with the UN and will continue to work closely with Ban Ki-moon, spokesperson Nga stressed.
