The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry met with foreign businesses in the south May 30 to discuss means to help them recover from the losses caused by rioters during the anti-China protests.
Foreign companies expressed interest in salary policies for workers and the assistance they can get to resume operations after mobs destroyed their properties on May 13 and 14.
The Government has provided them with a lot of assistance and instructed local authorities to tailor policies for each affected company, officials from the Ministries of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and Finance said.
They will be offered soft loans to resume work and insurance companies have been urged to settle their claims as soon as possible.
Ministries and other agencies will list all the assistance to be provided on their websites in English and Chinese and sent them to the affected companies and business groups.
The meeting was also attended by leaders from Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong and Dong Nai Provinces.
