In Tien Giang province, surging automobiles in Than Cuu Nghia roundabout in the road leading to HCMC-Trung Luong expressway was badly congested especially in front of the BOT tollgate to the expressway.
Long lasting traffic jam occurred in nearby National Highway 1A stretching through Co Co and An Cu bridges in Cai Be district, My Quy bridge in Cai Lay town and Ruou bridge in Chau Thanh district.
The volume of vehicles flocking to Tien Giang from Soc Trang, Vinh Long and Ben Tre province highly hiked in Highway 60 and Rach Mieu bridge, complicating traffic condition in the area. Thousands of vehicles were found tail each other to travel through the bridge.

An Suong bus station saw a sudden raise of passengers over normal. They mainly traveled from Tay Ninh province to HCMC. An Suong-Suoi Tien bus route was packed with passengers.
