According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Soc Trang province, the Southern province received more than VND 1,350 billion (US$ 58.3 million) in overseas remittances and VND 26 billion (US$ 1.1 million) from social and charity activities of the expatriates in 2018.
At the receipt, the overseas proposed many sugestions and initiatives in the fields of transport, health, education, etc.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Soc Trang province Duong Sa Kha expressed the enthusiastic thanks of provincial leaders to the expatriates for active contributions and sent new year’s greeting to the them.
