Colonel Nguyen Phong Canh from Navy Force said at the ceremony that the scholarships are a timely and precious encouragement for soldiers’ children. He expected that the newspaper and navy high commander board will continue offering support to soldiers’ families so that soldiers can focus on their work offshore to protect the country’s sovereignty.

The scholarships are taken from the fund “Join hands for sea and islands” contributed by primary and senior high school students in Ho Chi Minh City and launched by SGGP.
