Schools in HCMC respond to Earth Hour Campaign

The Department of Education and Training in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday sent its document to sub-divisions in 24 districts and principals of senior high schools, colleges, continuous studying centers about the implementation of activities in response to Earth Hour campaign.

As per the document, school managers are responsible for increasing information of teachers and students how to use energy sources efficiently and reduce pollution.
Schools will carry out some activities such as sorting out rubbish at homes, recognizing “green products” and safe commodities.
Additionally, the campaign encourages people to switch off a motorcycle while waiting for a traffic signal to reduce gas and to use biological petrol (E5). Plus, people should switch off lights in homes in one hour on March 24.
