Ho Chi Minh City’s gas agencies on late July 31 said the retail gas prices will reduce around VND 8,000 per 12kilogram canister starting August 1.
Accordingly, Saigon Petro (SP) gas prices will decrease 666,67 (included VAT), equal VND 8,000 per 12 kiligram canister; the retail prices will be VND 277,000 per 12 kiligram canister.
The retail prices reduce because the global gas prices have decreased in August by US$ 382.5 per ton, a decrease of US$ 27.5 per ton compared to the last month.
Last month, Saigon Petro, Pacific Petro, Citi Petro, Elf Gas… reduced from VND 3,500 to 3,900 per 12 kilogram canister depending on the brandname. Thus, at the beginning of this year, the gas prices have reduced total of VND 63,000 per 12 kilogram canister.
