Severe damage has been caused by incessant heavy rains in the last few days across the country, according to the Central Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control.
In the southern province of Tay Ninh, rains flattened a house, inundated 50 others, devastated 20 hectares of crops and in An Giang Province in the Mekong Delta, three houses’ roofs were blown away.
In Lai Chau Province, heavy rains caused a landslide along a section of Highway 129 in Phin Ho Commune, bringing traffic to a crawl.
Roads from Ta Ghenh to Nam Pay and other key roads in the province also faced similar conditions. The provincial Department of Transport said it would take two or three days for traffic to resume.
