A working delegation led by State President Nguyen Minh Triet and Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai arrived in Phu Yen Province’s Dong Hoa Dsitrict to visit and offer relief to flood victims on November 4.

The President gave instruction to local authorities in coping with the changeable weather, and handed relief to the victims.
A mountain landslide damaged three houses with one injured people in the center of Tuy Hoa City on the same day.
By the afternoon of November 4, five people were confirmed dead and two injured. Nearly 14 houses were demolished and 2,500 ha of crops were damaged in the floods.
It is estimated that losses caused to the province by the flood is more than VND95 bliion (US$4.75 million).
In related news, a working delegation of Vietnam Red Cross provided 1,000 boxes of instant noodle, 4,490 kilos of rice and clothing to flood victims in Ninh Thuan Province; supported Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa provinces VND150 million; and gave 600 boxes of essential goods to southern central provinces on November 4.
According to the National Hydrometeorological Forecast Center, cold air from the North and low pressure in the southern central region will bring downpours to the central, southern and highland regions next few days.
