Speaking at a meeting with representatives of the Vietnam Association of Young Entrepreneurs on August 31, President Truong Tan Sang called for more self-motivation and dynamism in young businessmen to tackle the challenges of the day.

At the meeting with 30 distinguished young businesspersons of Vietnam Association of Young Entrepreneurs on the 20th anniversary of its establishment, President Sang lauded the association’s achievements over the years.
The President also asked the association to admit more members to make the association stronger and contribute towards policy making at the macro level. He expected the association to become a model for others to follow.
Mai Huu Tin, Chairman of the Association, said they had more than 10,000 members across the country, providing employment to more than 2.5 million people and had a total yearly turnover of US$25 billion, from which the association contributed hundreds of billions to social activities.
The Vietnam Association of Young Entrepreneurs honors enterprises with the ‘Sao Vang Dat Viet’ (Vietnam Gold Star) Award, for outstanding and significant contributions to social development.
In the meeting, the association proposed to convert the award into an annual event at the national level.
