Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Dinh La Thang welcomed New Zealand Ambassador Haike Manning on May 5.
At the meeting, the secretary Thang highly appreciated the cooperation and development relations between Vietnam and New Zealand in all fields.
Accordingly, a new flight route connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Auckland city will be officially opened on June 4, and the New Zealand Culture Week also is expected to be held in Ho Chi Minh City by the beginning of June.
Mr. Haike Manning also desired to promote further cooperation relation with HCMC in the potential fields of new technological agriculture, food safety, aviation, and high-quality human resource training.
Earlier, Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong also received New Zealand Ambassador Haike Manning.
