The event will include around 1,000 display booths of more than 200 local and foreign publishing houses from Spain, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, presenting 350,000 book titles with over 35 million copies.
The book show will feature a series of activities, such as book exhibition, children’s reading area, e-book sector, seminars, speeches from authors and readers and more which will be held during the event.
The fair is an iconic cultural event in the city. It plays an important role in rebuilding and developing popularity of books in Vietnam.
The annual book festival is held by the HCM City People’s Committee in coordination with the Department of Information and Communications, Sai Gon Culture Corp, HCMC Book Distribution Corporation (Fahasa), the Youth Publishing House, HCMC General Publishing House, and the HCMC Culture–Literature and Arts Publishing House.
