The People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa province is planning to build south- central fisheries logistic center with total investment capital of over VND 1,230 billion.
The center will become the biggest modern fishing port in the central region if it puts into operation.
The construction project covers over 65 hectares of land at Da Bac fishing port in Cam Ranh city.
Expansion of the Da Bac fishing is a part of the complex construction project with VND 274 billion capital allocated from the state budget and loaned from the Japanese government.
At the beginning this month, a delegation of French Development Agency (AFD) surveyed position of the project and agreed to provide VND 423 billion for the investment.
According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Khanh Hoa province, the south- central fisheries center could receive around 120,000 tons of seafood at the Da Bac port after it will put into operation in 2018. Besides that, it will respond travelling conditions for big fishing ships with a capacity of 2,000 CV, and will be a safe place for over 2,000 fishing vessels in the stormy and rainy season.
