The National Maternity Hospital August 31 announced the son of Dau Thi Huyen Tram who suspended cancer treatment to save infant son was discharged from the hospital.
The is weighing 1.8 kilogram. The hospital director Dr. Vu Ba Quyet said that we were very moved with Lieutenant Dau Thi Huyen Tram's sacrifice.
Earlier, Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien asked the hospital to carefully take care of her son named Gau.
At the hospital, Gau’s father , Tran Manh Ha was touched to carry his healthy son sending his thank-you to Health Minister , hospital managers, all medical workers and media which published story of his family to call for social contribution.
Total cost of Gau’s treatment is nearly VND100 million (US$ 4,484) which will be covered by insurance company.
